The Model #2 is available in iron, aluminum or brass cast housings. Brixon #2SPAL and #2B models are the only FM approved sparkproof latches available through any manufacturer. Stainless steel internal components are optional in non-sparkproof models.
The Model #3 is available in aluminum cast housings. This versatile safely latch launched the Brixon Manufacturing Company in 1939. The aluminum model is ideal for exterior doors or whenever weight is a factor. Stainless steel internal components are optional. For applications requiring multiple unlinked latches, these Heavy Duty models are ideal. Available in cast iron, they provide a lever assisted opening with no connecting linkage necessary. This model may be combined with a cast iron model #4 (#4HD) or purchased separately as a stand-alone lever (#410).
